Position Details:

• Location: Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30pm
• Type of Role: On-site Outpatient setting- Direct Patient Care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.
• Outpatient setting
• 6 to 8 direct patient care hours per day
• Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services
• Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
• The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state.
• DEA Certification: Current and unrestricted DEA license.
• BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 24 months of experience within the last 36 months as a board certified Psychiatrist.
