Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

Provide comprehensive inpatient internal medicine care to adult patients
Perform admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals
Respond to urgent clinical issues on the medical floors
Document all encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with hospitalists, PAs/NPs, nursing, case management, and ancillary teams
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination meetings
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up needs

Quality & Safety

Adhere to evidence-based guidelines and hospital protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support a culture of safety, respect, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Current or eligible New York State medical license
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time hospital-based position
Rotating schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed)
