Position Overview
We are seeking three (3) full-time Primary Care Physicians (or equivalent FTE coverage) to provide outpatient primary care services at a VA Medical Center in New York. This is a long-term, stable contract supporting our nation’s Veterans in a collaborative, team-based clinical environment.
The contract term is June 2026 through May 2031, offering consistency, predictable hours, and the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships within the VA system.
Position Details
- Setting: VA Medical Center – Outpatient Primary Care
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal VA clinic hours (no nights, no weekends, no call)
- Contract Length: 5 years
- Start Date: June 2026
- End Date: May 2031
- Staffing Need: 3 Full-Time Providers (or equivalent FTE coverage)

Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Care Physicians will provide comprehensive outpatient medical care to an adult Veteran population in accordance with VA clinical guidelines and standards of care.
Clinical Responsibilities Include:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Manage preventive care, health maintenance, and disease prevention
- Perform routine outpatient procedures consistent with primary care scope
- Coordinate care with specialty services, behavioral health, nursing, and ancillary staff
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the VA’s electronic health record
- Participate in interdisciplinary care teams and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure continuity of care through appropriate follow-up, referrals, and care coordination
- Comply with all VA policies, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- DEA
