A large integrated academic health system in Michigan is excited to welcome a BC/ BE Gastroenterologist to their well-established and growing program in Grand Rapids, MI. The incoming GI will join the team at their flagship hospital. As the largest healthcare system in Michigan, they are a clinical leader in cardiovascular, cancer, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, neurosciences, trauma and emergency care services, among many others.
Hospital Highlights:
• 1000-bed Flagship hospital
• Level 1 trauma center
• Strong Research ties with local Research Institute.
• Specialized programs in IBD, Interventional Endoscopy, and Hepatology.
Position Highlights:
• General GI, IBD, Hepatology, Motility, any subspeciality can be supported
• High-volume GI practice within a regional referral center. Teaching and research available, but not required.
• GI Hospitalist Role is traditional 7 on 7 off with no outpatient GI responsibilities.
• Join a collegial group of 18 physicians and 15 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Strong relationship with Ancillary services and well supported.
• 10-room ambulatory surgery center (ASC) for general endoscopy. Two Hospital-Based endoscopy units with rooms for general and interventional endoscopy
• Call Schedule: 1:5 weeks with hospital coverage shared by 3 physicians per week between 2 hospitals (less than 15 mins apart)
• Can be flexible with OP work, endoscopy and office days. Leveraging advanced AI technology to streamline administrative tasks and enhance efficiency for physicians.
• Well above average base salary + RVU structure. Physicians can be as productive as they want, while offering flexibility in scheduling and ample ramp up time.
• Additional benefits include: $50k signing bonus, relocation assistance, malpractice and health/ disability /dental/ life insurance. Paid time off for vacation, CME allowance, parental leave.
