We are seeking a Locum Anesthesiologist to provide ongoing coverage in Massachusetts. This assignment covers both daytime coverage and 24-hour call.
Daytime Coverage
Daytime Coverage
- Independent case coverage; no supervision
- Solely assigned to OR or Endo
- 8-hr daily shifts, Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p (30-minute unpaid break)
Call Coverage Expectations
- Monday-Friday, 1st call physician is onsite 7a until approximately 5:30p and then available by phone 5:30p – 7a
- Call physician covers both the main OR and OB.
- Overnight in-house call is preferred. Call suite with private bathroom available.
- OB proficiency required. Call physician must remain onsite for running epidural, TOLAC or high-risk obstetric patient in labor.
- Weekend call shifts are 24 hours, Saturday 8a-8a, Sunday 8a-7a
Case Mix
- General, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy
- Healthy pediatrics (approximately 8 cases/month; locums may do 0–2/month)
- No OB cases required for daytime locums; OB required for call coverage
