Physician Assistant – In Patient Medicine

Overview

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions, including histories, physicals, and initial care plans
• Perform daily rounding and ongoing patient management
• Write orders and update treatment plans
• Manage cross‑cover needs and respond to acute issues on the inpatient units
• Support discharges, including documentation and patient education
• Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, case management, and specialty teams
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; PA‑C required
• Eligible for state licensure
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced inpatient environment
• Interest in hospital medicine and general internal medicine care

• New‑grad PAs with strong inpatient or internal medicine rotations
• PAs with hospitalist, med‑surg, telemetry, or step‑down experience
• PAs transitioning from urgent care or primary care who want inpatient work
• Generalist PAs comfortable with admissions, rounding, and cross‑cover
