We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for PRN locum coverage in Texas. This position offers flexible ongoing coverage opportunities into 2026, providing surgical, rounding, and call support in a hospital-based setting.
Assignment Details
- Schedule:
- Daytime Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weeknight Call: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Call: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
- Coverage Type: Daytime emergent coverage, hospital rounding, and call (no in-house night coverage)
- Setting: Inpatient hospital with OR and rounding; outpatient procedures as applicable
- Clinic: None (no new patient or follow-up visits)
- Trauma Level: IV
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Board Certification: Required
- Certifications: DEA and BLS required
- Licensure: Active Texas license preferred; will consider candidates able to obtain one quickly
