Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Needed

We are seeking Cardiothoracic Surgeons to provide ongoing part-time locum coverage in Maryland. Providers will serve as a backup to the hospital’s CT Surgery program, with an estimated 7 shifts per month
Position Details:
- Duration: Ongoing – 1 week or long weekend/month
- Schedule: 24-hour (7a–7a) or 12-hour (7a–7p) call shifts
- Procedures Required: Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
- Typical Cases: Open heart, carotid, and possible lung procedures
- Average Cases/Day: 1–3 (approx. 133 cases/year)
- Average Admissions on Call: 1–3
- Daily Structure: AM rounding with PA; PAs handle initial consults and EVH (Endovascular Saphenous Vein Harvesting)
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements:
- Board Status: BC/BE in Cardiac Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred
- Licensure: Maryland license not required at time of submission (will consider those needing to obtain one)
