Pediatric Hospitalist, Leadership Option
Job Description
- Are you a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist looking for an exciting opportunity in an academic setting with leadership potential?

- This role provides a 7-on/7-off schedule, offers academic appointments, and allows you to work with a strong multidisciplinary pediatric team

Position Highlights:
- 100% Pediatric Hospitalist role with no fellowship required
- 7-on/7-off schedule with 8 AM – 4 PM shifts; only 1 in-house call night per week
- Strong APP support; experienced team covering after-hours (4 PM – 8 AM) with physician back-up
- Pediatric staff includes 2 FTE hospitalists and 3 APPs in the inpatient pediatric service
- Leadership opportunities are available for those interested in management and mentorship
- Academic appointment with teaching responsibilities for medical students, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine residents
- Newborn care for stable late preterm infants (35-36 weeks) with ~1,300 births annually
- Pediatric floor has 4-8 beds & intermediate care capabilities; average census of 3-4, higher during respiratory season
- Level 3 NICU with 8-10 beds; accepts babies 25 weeks GA and above; dedicated 24/7 NICU team attends all high-risk deliveries
- Pediatric hospitalists perform circumcisions; training available if needed
- Provide pediatric consults for a busy ER with 60,000 annual patients (9,000 pediatric cases with a 6% Admission rate)
- Access to pediatric subspecialties via phone or e-consult through a state-of-the-art telemedicine clinic
- Outpatient Pediatric Opportunities available
Compensation & Benefits:
