We are seeking Medical Oncologists to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Illinois. This is a strong opportunity for a physician interested in a combination of daytime coverage and overnight/weekend call at a Level I Trauma Center.

Overview:

Approximately 20 shifts/month
8:00 AM–4:00 PM day shifts, 4:00 PM–8:00 AM overnight call
Weekend Call: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
Support: On-site APP for consults, follow-ups, and patient management; PRN Medical Oncologist available one week per month
EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including consultations, admissions, and follow-up care
Conduct hospital rounding as needed
Collaborate with APPs on consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management
Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary cancer team
Provide continuity of care alongside hospital staff and consulting services
Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site

Requirements:

MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
Active Illinois medical license (CSR required)
DEA and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
