Practice Details:
- This is a unique opportunity to join the faculty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso
- The Department of Neurology is seeking a Neurocritical Care Physician to join the outpatient clinic and affiliated teaching hospitals and help grow the service line
- This is a great opportunity to earn income like a private practice with academic benefits
Position Highlights:
- Nationally-recognized and award-winning University Medical Center
- 12-15 beds in the Neurocritical Care unit
- 1 week on/2 weeks off rotation (17.3 weeks per year)
- Inpatient/Outpatient mix (majority inpatient)
- Inpatient services: To include critically ill neurological patients and stroke consults
- Avg. 10 inpatients + 5 new consults daily
- Phone consults only in the evening
- No outpatient clinic when on hospital consults
- Outpatient services: Approximately 2 days/week in the clinic
- See all neurological conditions
- Supervising resident outpatient clinics and teaching programs
- Teach and mentor residents and medical students, to include seminars or lectures
- Participate in academic research and scholarly activities
Financial Package:
- Base Salary to be commensurate with MGMA's Academic 75th Percentile
