This well-known academically affiliated community health system is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join one of the fastest-growing gastroenterology programs in West Virginia. As a 300-bed regional referral center and the hub for four surrounding community hospitals, they offer physicians the opportunity to step into immediate patient demand while helping shape the future of a rapidly expanding GI service line. Position Highlights:
-Hospital-employed position within the nationally recognized WVU Medicine Health System
-Join an experienced team of 2 Advanced Gastroenterologists and 3 General Gastroenterologists with plans to expand to 6-7 physicians
-Walk into immediate volume with an established 6-month procedural waitlist
-Flexible practice with a balanced mix of outpatient procedures and inpatient consults
-Physicians typically begin with 2 procedure days per week, progressing to 3 procedure days as their practice grows
-Shared inpatient GI rotation of 1:6
-Dedicated Advanced Practice Provider support with a 7-on/7-off schedule
-Significant investment in the future of Gastroenterology, including new endoscopy suites, expanded OR space, and a new outpatient surgery center currently in development
-Opportunity to perform ERCP and other advanced procedures for qualified candidates, though advanced fellowship training is not required for General GI positions
-Base salary above the 90th percentile with an upside productivity model providing $1M+ earning potential
-Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 403(b) with employer match, optional 457(b), generous CME allowance, paid CME time, and recruitment incentives
