This primary care practice is located in the upper Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York—two hours north of New York City and 45 minutes south of Albany. Position Summary

A full‑time Family Medicine Physician is needed to join an established outpatient practice in Hudson, NY. The incoming physician will join a supportive, hospital‑affiliated primary care group with a strong administrative team and a collaborative clinical staff that includes three physicians and two nurse practitioners.

Practice Details

  • Setting: Outpatient only
  • Facility: Family medicine practice with one NP and one PA
  • Team: Three physicians, two nurse practitioners, additional clinical support staff
  • Patient Volume: Typically 70–80 patients per week; initial volume will be lower to allow longer visits for new patients
  • Schedule: Hours negotiable
  • Call: Approximately 1:8, phone call only
  • Rounding: None
  • Administrative Time: 80% clinical / 20% administrative; administrative work may be done from home
  • Start Date: Flexible; as soon as available
  • Reason for Recruitment: Physician relocating out of the area
  • Electronic Health Records:
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) for ambulatory practice
  • Meditech for hospital system

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages
  • Perform physical exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
  • Deliver preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
  • Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, and support staff to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
    Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Active or eligible New York State medical license
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient‑centered, evidence‑based care
  • Experience in outpatient primary care preferred
