Position Summary

A full‑time Family Medicine Physician is needed to join an established outpatient practice in Hudson, NY. The incoming physician will join a supportive, hospital‑affiliated primary care group with a strong administrative team and a collaborative clinical staff that includes three physicians and two nurse practitioners.

Practice Details

Setting: Outpatient only
Facility: Family medicine practice with one NP and one PA
Team: Three physicians, two nurse practitioners, additional clinical support staff
Patient Volume: Typically 70–80 patients per week; initial volume will be lower to allow longer visits for new patients
Schedule: Hours negotiable
Call: Approximately 1:8, phone call only
Rounding: None
Administrative Time: 80% clinical / 20% administrative; administrative work may be done from home
Start Date: Flexible; as soon as available
Reason for Recruitment: Physician relocating out of the area

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages
Perform physical exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
Deliver preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, and support staff to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
Active or eligible New York State medical license
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Commitment to patient‑centered, evidence‑based care
Experience in outpatient primary care preferred
