Job Details:
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide locum tenens coverage in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department in South Carolina. We offer flexible scheduling and a dynamic, high-acuity work environment.
Position Details:
- Primarily night shifts needed
- 8-hour shifts preferred, but 12-hour shifts can be accommodated
- 12-14 shifts per month (flexible scheduling)
- ED Volume: 190 visits/day on average
- Facility Level: Level 2 trauma center (operates as a Level 1)
- Transfer Rate: Exceptionally low; transfers mainly for burns, amputations, and high-risk OB cases
- Support Staff: 5 APPs (mix of NPs and PAs), APP extenders, and scribes
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Emergency Medicine
- Training: Must be Emergency Medicine residency trained
- Licensure: Active South Carolina Medical License
- Certifications: CSR & DEA (must remain permanently registered in SC)
- Must be comfortable treating all ages
- All emergency medicine procedures required
