Overview:
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide part-time weekend locum coverage in Illinois. This is a high-acuity role supporting STEMI call and Cath Lab procedures within a collaborative hospital environment.
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide part-time weekend locum coverage in Illinois. This is a high-acuity role supporting STEMI call and Cath Lab procedures within a collaborative hospital environment.
Schedule:
- Weekend coverage - Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
- 24-hour call shifts
- Estimated 6 shifts per month
- 30-minute response time required
Responsibilities:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- PCI and interventional procedures
- Participate in the hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients
- Perform necessary Cath Lab procedures for inpatients
- Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients
- Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists
- Hospital-based, solo coverage
- EMR: Epic
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Active Illinois license
- DEA and CSR required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience
