Overview:
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide part-time weekend locum coverage in Illinois. This is a high-acuity role supporting STEMI call and Cath Lab procedures within a collaborative hospital environment.

Schedule:

Weekend coverage - Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
24-hour call shifts
Estimated 6 shifts per month
30-minute response time required

Responsibilities:

Cardiac catheterizations
PCI and interventional procedures
Participate in the hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients
Perform necessary Cath Lab procedures for inpatients
Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients
Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists
Hospital-based, solo coverage
EMR: Epic

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Active Illinois license
DEA and CSR required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 1 year experience
