Anesthesiology Locum Tenens

Location: Pennsylvania
Setting: Multi-facility hospital and surgical center network

Practice Overview:
We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for locum coverage in Pennsylvania. This position offers a diverse case mix within a collaborative anesthesia care team model.

Practice Details:

26 Anesthesia Locations:
- 19 within Hospital
- 4 at ASC across the street
- 2 at Endo Center
- 1 at Connected Hospital
Staffing Model: 10 MDs and 36 CRNAs (Anesthesia Care Team Model)
Physicians generally supervise CRNAs
24-hour coverage: Always 1 MD and 2 CRNAs in-house

Annual Volumes:

Total Cases: ~15,000
OB: ~2,000
Cardiac: ~300

Schedule & Call:

1 Full-Time Provider Needed
Shift Times: 8-hour shifts
Call: Beeper call preferred for providers able to take call

Skills

Requirements:

Cardiac capable – required
OB & Pediatric proficient – required

Case Mix:
Ortho, GI, general, OB, GYN, urology, vascular, neuro, ophthalmology, thoracic, and cardiac (including 152 open hearts annually).
Cardiac cases include TAVR, mitral valve clip, Watchman procedures, on/off pump, CABG, cardiac ablation, and TEE.

Ideal Candidate:
A board-certified/eligible anesthesiologist who is cardiac capable, OB & pediatric proficient, and comfortable supervising CRNAs within a large, integrated system.
