We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide part-time emergency medicine coverage at two locations in Pennsylvania. This position is focused on night shift coverage (7 PM – 7 AM), with a requirement of 4–6 shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- No on-call responsibilities.
- 1-2 patients per hour, no invasive procedures required.
- Provide emergency medicine care, primarily handling lower acuity patients.
- Perform minor procedures such as I&Ds, laceration repairs, and general ED patient care.
- Work collaboratively with an attending physician who is always present at night.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as radiology and blood work reviews as needed.
- Must maintain NIHSS certification annually and complete required Stroke CME & EMTALA education.
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania state license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Must be Stroke Certified (NIHSS certification required).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or Red Cross certified) required.
